Fall Bible Study

Prayers in the Bible – Powerful Scriptures to Pray

Ladies, we are so excited to be able to once again offer the opportunity to gather for a mid-week Bible study.

Prayers in the Bible–Powerful Scriptures to Pray will begin on Wednesday, November 4 and go for 6 weeks (excluding Thanksgiving week)

We will be meeting in the Sanctuary from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS STUDY. Just bring your Bible and a pen or pencil.

(We will be maintaining the required COVID-19 social distancing precautions and will have hand sanitizer and masks available for you.)

Looking forward to a wonderful time of fellowship and digging into God’s Word together.

February 2021 Heart to Heart

We have some exciting things to share about upcoming opportunities to connect! Our hope is to have a great year TOGETHER in a safe environment of fellowship and going deeper in our faith.

Today … and a link to some pictures

Hi ladies … today is our H2H and we’re really hoping to see you there! We’ll be meeting outside and it’s at 3! It’s going to be a great way to start our new year. Looking forward to seeing you there!

No Retreat

Hi ladies … we just wanted you to know that unfortunately we will not be having a retreat this year. We will miss being with all of you! We continue to pray for you and to consider what we might be able to do as a way of providing some sort of service or ministry for you.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our team if you need anything.

Retreat Survey

You are loved … and thought about … and prayed for …

We are trying to make plans for our annual fall retreat … this year it’s so difficult …

We NEED your help! 🙂

We’ve sent you a survey via email … did you get it? We’ve received less than 10 responses and would love more.

Here is what was in the email …

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you! – Psalm 143:8

God is good, and He has given us each a gift of each other to love, cherish and grow with. Fall is upon us once again and the Father’s House Embrace Ezer Women’s Team is at a cross roads of making a decision to go forward or not to have our annual Women’s Retreat. We have come up with four possible choices but would like your input of what you are comfortable with during this time of uncertainty. If you could please respond by September 30th that would give the EE Team time to discuss the census and share that with you lovely ladies.

Also, we have already engaged an outside speaker for our retreat November 14th. Her name is Kim Donaldson.

  • Ladies retreat at the Father’s House, outside patio during the day – 3-4 hours
  • Ladies retreat via Zoom – 3-4 hours
  • Ladies retreat via Live Stream like we do each week for church service
  • Ladies retreat postponed until next year. Please RSVP by September 30th.

You can text your RSVP to 805-610-5425 (Cindy Gould) or email cindya_g@hotmail.com or to Carolyn at: carolyn@sixteenmilesout.com

Thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration and input. Your Sisters in Christ,

The Embrace Ezer Team

Life is Hard … But There’s Help

Life these past months has been interesting to say the least. I’ve grown closer to God, been faithful in reading His Word, had great times with my children and grandchildren, drawn closer to my husband and failed miserably in some of my life’s choices. I’ve called you and talked to you and I’ve ignored your calls. I’ve written notes to you and not sent them. I’ve prayed for you and forgotten completely about you. I’ve been to church both online and in person and then decided that I just wasn’t doing that too.

How can a person do all of these within such a short period of time? It’s hard to believe, but true. Maybe you’ve done better than me. Maybe you’ve made all the right choices in this time of life. If so, that’s great! That’s amazing! You’re doing so well!

But if you haven’t and are like me and haven’t done 100% and are unhappy with yourself, you understand. Life is hard and full of difficult choices to make. The enemy is hard at work to pull us off track and to get us to fall into sin … to stray away from the things we know as truth.

And Jesus is good. He is faithful. His mercies are new every morning! Thank you Lord for that! What would I ever do without Him and His faithfulness to me!

My life is full because of Him. I can always return to Him because His arms are always open wide for me. He is my refuge. He is my strength. I can always find Him.

No matter what we’ve done or haven’t done, His love is steadfast. His love is real. He knows our weaknesses and our strengths and He wants to help us in those areas. His mercies are new every morning.

As we submit ourselves to Him, He will help us to overcome. Sometimes it takes some diligence. The word tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. I believe that just means for us to work on those things that we try to do right … work on those areas where we stumble … live out our life of salvation rightly. Take all of what God has given to us and allow it to work in our lives … by making right choices, asking forgiveness when we make mistakes, ask for His help to get us to that place where we can do right again.

He has given us all of the tools … it’s our job to use those tools within our lives.

p.s. Does any of this resonate with you? If so, I’m here for you. I’d love to pray for you.
